| James DeLotel A memorial service with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 11, at Roseburg National Cemetery for James Y. DeLotel of Eugene, who died March 3 of age-related causes. He was 91. He was born Dec. 3, 1919, in New Albany, Ind., to Vernie and Edna Koch DeLotel. He married Elizabeth “Betsy” Turk on Sept. 30, 1978, in Klamath Falls. He served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years and survived the Pearl Harbor attack while serving on the USS Utah. He was a civilian contracting in Vietnam until 1976, then worked on the faculty at Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls. Survivors include his wife; eight children; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
